Women on Genius: Artist Spotlights - Derivakat
|
Thank you @jambi for making a Certified PogChampTM spotlight banner :0
Welcome everyone to a new edition of “Women On Genius: Artist Spotlights!”
In this spotlight, I’ll be introducing you guys to one of the most influential artists in the Minecraft gaming community, Derivakat. At the time I’m publishing this, she’s mostly known for her songs about the characters, events, and settings of the Minecraft roleplaying server: the Dream SMP. While I’ve rarely kept up with the Dream SMP’s events – I’m more of a Ph1LzA and MC Championship viewer – I spent a lot of time researching the Dream SMP and Derivakat’s songs to make this spotlight as accurate as possible and to represent a portion of gamers on Game Genius. I really hope you enjoy this read!
(Note: most information will be taken from Derivakat’s interview on The Dream Team Podcast.)
